Some people have been receiving e-mail asking for their help to commit frauds. The purpose of such e-mails is actually to obtain either money or personal details from the recipient of the e-mail.
One of these e-mails claims to be from an individual called Masasuke Okamura, working for Lloyds TSB in Tokyo. No such individual has ever worked for our organization.
To help protect yourself from these fraudulent emails, we recommend that you:
- never respond to these emails,
- install anti-virus software, and keep it up-to-date,
- install personal firewall software, and keep it up-to-date.
If you suspect that you've received a fraudulent email, please forward it to us for investigation at tokyo@lloydstsb.co.jp and then delete it from your inbox without responding. If you think that a fraudster already has your details, please call us immediately on 03 3589 7700.
